Pakistan Air Force has announced its latest induction for Commissioned Officers through Permanent Commission (PC) and Short Service Commission (SSC / SPSSC). 1. PERMANENT COMMISSION (PC)

162 General Duty Pilot (GDP) Course

Age: 16 to 22 years on 15 April 2027
Nationality: Male / Female citizen of Pakistan
Marital Status: Unmarried
Height: 5 feet 4 inches / 163 cm
Vision: 6/6 each eye (without Glasses)
Qualification: Minimum 65% marks in aggregate in any of: F.Sc (Pre-Engineering / Pre-Medical / Computer Science), A-Level with Physics, Maths, Computer Science / Biology or any subject, F.Sc with Physics and any two subjects i.e. Maths, Statistics, Computer Science and Biology. Also Diploma of Associate Engineering (DAE) in Avionics / Electrical / Electronics / Mechanical etc. can apply.
Training Period: 04 Years - Award of BS Degree in Aviation Management / BE in Aerospace from CAE

108 Aeronautical Engineering Course

Age: 16 to 22 years on 15 April 2027
Height: Male 5 ft 4 in / 163 cm, Female 4 ft 10 in / 147 cm
Qualification: F.Sc (Pre-Engineering) with minimum 65% with Physics, Maths, Chemistry + equivalence of Pre-Engineering. O/A Level with Physics, Maths, Chemistry, Biology also eligible.
Training: 04 Years - BE in Aerospace / Avionics

118 Air Defence Course

Age: 16 to 22 years on 15 April 2027
Height: 5 feet 4 inches / 163 cm
Qualification: Minimum 65% marks in F.Sc (Pre-Engg / Pre-Medical / Computer Science), A-Level, or DAE in relevant engineering.
Award: BS Degree in Aviation Management

37 Admin & Special Duties Course

Age: 16 to 22 years on 15 April 2027
Qualification: Minimum 65% in F.Sc (Pre-Engg / Pre-Medical / Computer Science), A-Level, or DAE. Award of BS Degree in Aviation Management.

20 Logistics Course

Age: 16 to 22 years on 15 April 2027
Qualification: F.Sc / A-Level with Physics, Maths, Computer Science / Biology or any subject with minimum 65% marks. F.Sc / Pre-Engineering / Pre-Medical / Computer Science, A-Level with Biology, Physics, Maths, Computer Science / Statistics.
Training Period: 04 Years - BS Degree in Aviation Management

2. SHORT SERVICE COMMISSION (SSC / SPSSC)

138 Education Branch (SPSSC)

Age: 20 to 29 years on 15 April 2027
Rank: Flying Officer
Qualification: MA / MS / M.Phil in Maths, Physics, Chemistry, Psychology, English, Islamiat, Pak Studies / History, Urdu, Computer Science / IT, Management Sciences / MBA (18 years) etc. Minimum 2nd Division with 2.5/4.0 CGPA from HEC recognized university.
Training: 24 Weeks

138 Engineering Branch (SSC)

Age: 20 to 30 years on 15 April 2027
Rank: Flying Officer
Qualification: BE / B.Sc Engineering (Equivalent) - Preference to MS candidates. Minimum 2.54 CGPA from Pakistan / Foreign University recognized by HEC / PEC.

138 Accounts Branch (SSC)

Age: 20 to 26 years on 15 April 2027
Qualification: B.Com (04 years) / BBA Finance (04 years) / BS Commerce (04 years) / M.Com / MBA Finance / BS Accounting & Finance with minimum 60% or 2.7/4 CGPA.

138 IT Branch (SSC)

Age: 20 to 26 years on 15 April 2027
Qualification: BS / MS in Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT, Data Science, Cyber Security, Artificial Intelligence, etc. with minimum 2.5/4 CGPA.

Selection Procedure

Online Registration at www.joinpaf.gov.pk
Intelligence Test + Academic Test in relevant subjects through e-testing.
Initial Medical Examination & Interview at PAF I&SC.
Physical Fitness Test: Running 1 Km in 08 Minutes (Male) / 12 Minutes (Female), Push-ups, Sit-ups, Chin-ups.
Only shortlisted candidates will be called for ISSB.
Test / Interview by ISSB Kohat / Gujranwala / Malir / Quetta.
Final Medical Examination at CMB Lahore.
Flying Aptitude Test (FAT) and Pilot Officer Test for GDP only at IAB Rawalpindi / Karachi.
Interview by AHQ Selection Board for CSC candidates only.
Final Selection by Air Headquarters in order of merit.

GDP Note: Candidates with Pre-Engg / ICS / DAE background will undergo additional English Test at IAB. After final selection, GDP candidates undergo BE (Aerospace / Avionics) program at CAE (4 years) while simultaneously getting flying training at PAF Academy Asghar Khan. Upon successful completion, cadets get a permanent commission in PAF and would be awarded BE in Avionics / Aerospace.

Ineligibility Conditions

Rejected by ISSB / GHQ / NHQ / AHQ Selection boards twice.
Twice rejected by ISSB for intermediate / graduate and once for post-graduate.
Once rejected by ISSB for intermediate / graduate and twice by GHQ / NHQ / AHQ.
Twice Screened out by ISSB.
Tested within four months (120 days) gap of previous appearance in ISSB (120 days will not be applicable to candidates appearing in GHQ / NHQ / AHQ selection boards).
Dismissed / Removed / Debarred from Govt services including armed forces.
Convicted in a court of law for any heinous offense.
Permanently declared UNFIT by Appeal Medical Board (PUF by AMB).
Withdrawn from any bonded armed forces college / institution on disciplinary grounds.
Withdrawn / Dismissed / resigned or purchase release from any armed forces academy / training institution on any ground.
Tempered with original academic certificates, concealment or giving wrong info to get undue advantage.
Thrice screened out by Army / Navy / Air Force during preliminary selection.
