Government of Gilgit-Baltistan School Education Department has announced teaching opportunities for eligible candidates from specified Tehsils, Union Councils and Hard Areas of Shigar and Diamer districts. A total of 145 positions are available under the PS Teacher and HSS Teacher categories.
The vacancies are offered on a fixed-pay basis and candidates will be selected through a process consisting of test, academic marks and interview.

1. PS Teacher (SPS-0) – Shigar
Candidates must belong to the respective Tehsil, Union Council or Hard Area of District Shigar where the position is available.
2. HSS Teacher (SPS-0) – Diamer
Only candidates belonging to the respective Tehsil, Union Council or Hard Area of District Diamer can apply for these positions.
3. PS Teacher (SPS-0) – Diamer
Only candidates belonging to the respective Tehsil, Union Council or Hard Area of District Diamer can apply for these positions.
Eligibility Criteria
- The maximum age limit is 20 to 28 years, including applicable relaxations according to GB Government rules.
- Upper age relaxation may be allowed according to government rules and policy.
- Candidates must apply for the position of their respective Tehsil, UC or Hard Area.
- Male candidates can apply for positions available at Boys' Schools.
- Female candidates can apply for positions available at Girls' Schools.
- Female candidates must be residents of the area where the post exists as specified in the advertisement.
- Male candidates applying for SPS positions must have the domicile of their respective Tehsil.
- Hard Area candidates must provide a permanent domicile and a residence certificate duly verified by the concerned Assistant Commissioner on stamp paper.
- Professional certificates must be issued by a recognized board or university and accepted by the department.
- Original documents and verified copies must be produced at the time of interview.
- In case suitable candidates are not available within the UC, Hard Area or Tehsil, candidates from the district may be considered.
- Applicants must be physically and mentally fit for the job.
- No previous job experience is required.
Selection Process & Marks Distribution
The selection process will be based on the following marks distribution:
- 70% – Test Marks
- 15% – Academic Marks
- 15% – Interview

Important Terms & Conditions
- The appointment letter will be issued by the respective Divisional Director.
- The appointment will not support any future regular, contract or contingent appointment.
- The posts are purely temporary.
- The posts are non-transferable and may be terminated on short notice without assigning any reason.
- Quota for minorities and disabled persons will be reserved from the allocated posts of each category, subject to the applicable provisions.
- Disabled candidates must provide the required medical certificate from the Medical Assessment Board of the DHQ Hospital of the respective district.
- No TA/DA will be admissible for the test or interview.
- Original documents and properly verified copies will be checked during the interview.
