Eligibility Criteria – Pak Army Sipahi Bharti 2026
1. Nationality & Marital Status
Nationality: Pakistani citizens, Azad Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan domiciled candidates are eligible. Dual nationals must surrender foreign nationality upon selection.
Marital Status: Unmarried. Married candidates are not eligible for Soldier recruitment.
Service Type: Pensionable service. Permanent government job with pension and benefits.
2. Age Limit
General: 17½ years to 23 years as on 2 May 2026.
Graduates: 17½ years to 24 years as on 2 May 2026.
For Sons of Martyrs/Shuhada: 17½ years to 25 years as on 2 May 2026.
Relaxation: Age relaxation as per government rules for specific categories. One year relaxation for candidates from Balochistan, FATA, GB, and AJK may apply as per policy.
3. Educational Qualification
Soldier General Duty: Matric (10th Class) pass with minimum 60% marks. For candidates from Balochistan, FATA, GB, and AJK: 55% marks in Matric.
Soldier Clerk: FA/FSc or equivalent with minimum 60% marks. Computer diploma and typing skills preferred.
Soldier Technical: Matric with Science and relevant diploma as per trade requirement.
Driver: Matric pass with valid LTV/HTV driving license.
4. Physical Standards
Height:
For men: 5 ft. 6 inches (167.5 cm)
For candidates from Balochistan, FATA, GB, AJK: 5 ft. 3 inches (160 cm)
Chest: For men only: 33 x 34½ inches (Minimum 33 inches unexpanded, 34½ inches expanded)
Weight: As per BMI (Body Mass Index) chart of Pakistan Army Medical Corps.
5. Physical Fitness Test
Running: 1.6 km (1 mile) run in 8 minutes 30 seconds
Push-ups: 15 repetitions in 2 minutes
Sit-ups: 15 repetitions in 2 minutes
Chin-ups: 3 repetitions in 2 minutes
Ditch Crossing: 7 ft. 4 inches x 7 ft. 4 inches ditch crossing
Selection Procedure – Pak Army Sipahi 2026
Step 1: Online Registration
Visit www.joinpakarmy.gov.pk from 2 March to 22 May 2026. Fill online registration form with personal, academic, and physical details. Upload recent photograph. Submit and download registration slip.
Step 2: Initial Test at AS&RC
Appear at your nearest Army Selection and Recruitment Center (AS&RC) on date mentioned on registration slip. Tests include:
Written/Intelligence Test: Verbal, Non-Verbal, and Academic (English, Math, Pak Studies, Islamiat, General Knowledge)
Physical Test: Running, push-ups, sit-ups, chin-ups, ditch crossing
Medical Test: Initial medical examination by Army Medical Officer
Interview: Preliminary interview by selection team
Step 3: ISSB/Psychological Test
Shortlisted candidates will be called for psychological tests and further screening.
Step 4: Final Medical
Detailed medical examination at Army Hospital/Center. Candidates declared medically fit will be considered for final merit list.
Step 5: Final Selection & Call Letter
Merit list prepared on overall performance. Selected candidates receive call letters for training at PMA/Regimental Centers.

Registration and initial tests will be held at AS&RCs across Pakistan including:
Rawalpindi, Lahore, Karachi, Peshawar, Quetta, Multan, Hyderabad, Faisalabad, Sialkot, Gilgit, Muzaffarabad, D.I. Khan, Khuzdar, and other centers. Select your nearest AS&RC during online registration.

3. One Attempt: Candidates declared unfit or not recommended can reappear after 120 days with new registration.
4. No Fee: There is no registration fee for Soldier recruitment. Beware of touts and agents.
5. Tattoo/Scars: Visible tattoos, body piercing, or major surgical scars may lead to medical rejection.
6. Academic Relaxation: 55% marks for Balochistan, FATA, GB, AJK. 60% for rest of Pakistan.
How to Register Online – Step by Step
Step 1: Go to www.joinpakarmy.gov.pk between 2 March and 22 May 2026.

Step 3: Fill form: Name, Father name, DOB, Education, Height, Weight, Chest, Domicile, AS&RC preference.

Training After Selection
Selected candidates will undergo 6-9 months Basic Military Training at various Regimental Centers. Training includes physical training, weapon handling, tactics, discipline, and trade training. After successful training, candidates join their units as regular Soldiers.
