Key Requirements – Nutrition Officer AKRSP Ghizer
1. Educational Qualification:
Master’s degree (16 years) in Human Nutrition, Food Technology, Public Health and related fields from an HEC recognized university.
2. Experience Requirement:
Minimum 1 year of relevant experience in nutrition screening, counselling, and nutrition initiatives implementation. Candidates with experience in community health programs, NGO/INGO projects, maternal & child nutrition, or public health interventions will be preferred.
3. Core Skills:
Expertise in malnutrition screening, dietary counselling, clean eating plans, menu planning, community mobilization, and nutrition program implementation in rural/mountainous areas. Strong communication skills in local languages of Ghizer preferred.
Job Responsibilities – Nutrition Officer
- Conduct nutrition screening and anthropometric assessments in communities of Ghizer district.
- Provide one-on-one and group counselling on maternal nutrition, infant & young child feeding (IYCF), and balanced diets.
- Implement AKRSP nutrition initiatives and community-based health programs.
- Develop and distribute clean eating menu plans and dietary guidelines for families.
- Coordinate with Lady Health Workers (LHWs), health department, and community organizations.
- Monitor and report on nutrition outcomes, prepare case studies, and maintain beneficiary data.
- Organize awareness sessions on stunting, wasting, micronutrient deficiencies, and healthy food practices.
