Position Name: District Coordinator
Job Summary
Aga Khan Health Service, Pakistan (AKHS, P) runs one of the largest not-for-profit private healthcare systems in the country, focusing on regions such as Gilgit-Baltistan, Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, Punjab, and Sindh. Its core initiatives include:
- Outreach clinics for hard-to-reach populations
- Training community midwives to provide low-cost health services in remote areas
- Screening for non-communicable diseases
- Digital health solutions
AKHS, P is seeking a competent District Coordinator for the Diamer Region.
Key Responsibilities
- Engage with district-level stakeholders such as DHOs, MS (Health Facility Level) Council members, and coordinate with LSO’s and CSO.
- Represent AKHS, P in District Technical Committee meetings and Cluster level meetings in the region.
- Develop and implement field plans based on the project workplan.
- Periodically visit health facilities to monitor project activities.
- Liaise with other agencies such as AKRSP, AKES, P, and AKF, P on the ground.
- Collect data, conduct QA visits, enter data, track referrals, and conduct awareness sessions.
- Provide healthcare providers with the distribution of supplies and equipment.
Required Skills
Education, Experience & Competencies
- Master's degree from any recognized university.
- At least 5-10 years of experience in the health-related field and project management.
- Experience working with an international organization in a similar field is an added advantage.
- Fluency in local languages and English.
- Possess management and report writing skills.
