Position Name: District Coordinator

Job Summary

Aga Khan Health Service, Pakistan (AKHS, P) runs one of the largest not-for-profit private healthcare systems in the country, focusing on regions such as Gilgit-Baltistan, Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, Punjab, and Sindh. Its core initiatives include:

  • Outreach clinics for hard-to-reach populations
  • Training community midwives to provide low-cost health services in remote areas
  • Screening for non-communicable diseases
  • Digital health solutions

AKHS, P is seeking a competent District Coordinator for the Diamer Region.

Key Responsibilities

  • Engage with district-level stakeholders such as DHOs, MS (Health Facility Level) Council members, and coordinate with LSO’s and CSO.
  • Represent AKHS, P in District Technical Committee meetings and Cluster level meetings in the region.
  • Develop and implement field plans based on the project workplan.
  • Periodically visit health facilities to monitor project activities.
  • Liaise with other agencies such as AKRSP, AKES, P, and AKF, P on the ground.
  • Collect data, conduct QA visits, enter data, track referrals, and conduct awareness sessions.
  • Provide healthcare providers with the distribution of supplies and equipment.

Required Skills

Education, Experience & Competencies

  • Master's degree from any recognized university.
  • At least 5-10 years of experience in the health-related field and project management.
  • Experience working with an international organization in a similar field is an added advantage.
  • Fluency in local languages and English.
  • Possess management and report writing skills.
