About Fire & Safety Officer Role at SBP-BSC
The Fire & Safety Officer at State Bank of Pakistan is responsible for ensuring fire prevention, safety compliance, and emergency response protocols across SBP-BSC premises. This role is critical for protecting national financial infrastructure, staff, and assets.
Key Responsibilities – Fire & Safety Officer SBP
1. Fire Prevention: Implement fire safety policies and conduct regular fire risk assessments
2. Emergency Response: Lead fire drills, evacuation procedures, and emergency response teams
3. Safety Audits: Inspect fire extinguishers, hydrants, smoke detectors, and alarm systems
4. Training: Conduct fire safety training for SBP staff and security personnel
5. Compliance: Ensure adherence to NFPA standards, Building Codes, and SBP safety SOPs
6. Incident Reporting: Investigate fire incidents and maintain safety records
7. Coordination: Liaise with Civil Defence, Fire Brigade, and local authorities

Typical Requirements for Fire & Safety Officer include:
Education: Bachelor’s in Engineering, Fire Technology, Safety Management, or related field. DAE + Fire Safety certifications preferred
Experience: 3-5 years in fire safety, HSE, or emergency response. Banking/corporate sector experience preferred
Certifications: NEBOSH, IOSH, Fire Fighting, First Aid, Rescue certifications will be an advantage
Age: As per SBP policy – check official advertisement
Physical Fitness: Medically fit for emergency response duties
