About the Role

Aga Khan Health Service, Pakistan (AKHS, P) seeks a motivated and detail‑oriented professional to join the Internal Audit Department as Assistant Manager Internal Audit. Based in Gilgit / Chitral, the incumbent will assess and strengthen internal control systems, evaluate risk management practices, and ensure compliance with organizational policies and procedures. The role involves identifying control gaps, recommending improvements, and supporting initiatives that enhance operational efficiency and organizational performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Audit Planning & Execution: Assist in designing audit scopes, procedures, and conducting audits.
  • Analysis & Documentation: Collect data, review documents, and prepare working papers.
  • Reporting & Communication: Draft audit reports and communicate findings across the organization.
  • Follow‑up & Monitoring: Track implementation of audit recommendations and prepare progress reports.
  • Investigations: Assist in investigations following professional standards.
  • Climate Action: Support AKHS’s net‑zero carbon commitment by identifying carbon‑intensive areas and facilitating climate action plans.
  • Compliance: Adhere to AKHS Code of Conduct, safeguarding principles, and ISO 9001:2015 standards.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Part‑qualified CMA / ACCA or equivalent qualification.
  • 3–5 years of internal audit experience or 5 years in Finance Department.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and MS Word.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and analytical skills.
  • Understanding of internal control systems, risk management, and compliance.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and integrity.
  • Willingness to travel extensively for audit assignments.
