Job Summary
Aga Khan Health Service, Pakistan (AKHS, P) operates one of the largest not‑for‑profit private healthcare systems in the country, focusing on Gilgit‑Baltistan, Khyber‑Pakhtunkhwa, Punjab, and Sindh. AKHS, P is seeking a competent Vaccinator for the Astore Region to support immunization services in line with national EPI guidelines.
Role and Responsibilities
- Prepare and administer vaccines to children (0–23 months) and pregnant women at fixed, outreach, and mobile centers.
- Plan and conduct monthly outreach sessions to cover missed, zero‑dose, and defaulter children.
- Provide health education and counselling to parents on immunization schedules and next visits.
- Ensure proper cold chain management during vaccine storage, handling, and transportation.
- Maintain accurate vaccine stock records and monitor daily fridge temperatures.
- Collaborate with EPI staff, WHO/UNICEF, and project teams for high‑quality immunization services.
- Record vaccination data in tally sheets, registers, NEIR and SNIP applications, and prepare monthly coverage reports.
- Calculate coverage/dropout rates and plan outreach sessions accordingly.
- Participate in training and monthly EPI review meetings.
Required Skills & Competencies
- Matriculation (preferably graduation).
- Valid diploma/certificate in medical technician, nursing, dispensing technician, or midwifery.
- Minimum 6 months of hands‑on immunization experience in EPI.
- Strong knowledge of immunization principles and cold chain management.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Polite, respectful, and courteous with patients and community.
- Ability to speak and understand local languages.
