“When you grow up, you might not have a job”. This is a prediction which is coming from a
most celebrated book of this time “21 Lesson for the 21 st Century” which has been penned
down by author of Sapiens Yuval Noah Harari. In this book the author writes his observations in such a way that may seem very much irrelevent for many of us, but the fact is that, today the intercultural and global mobility have interconnected the entire humankind which had once a thought of beyond reality for the past generation. His predictions, on the one hand, are a threat for the survival of human beings on this earth and on the other hand, are an advisory to take swift action to save humankind from a massive destruction. The author lists many existing jobs that may vanish and may create a massive useless class till 2050.
Many study shows that the West has really felt these horrific and most devastating impacts of
Info Tech on human being. This can be traced from the opinion of Alice O’Keeffe which has been published in The Guardian. In this article the author laments on the inaction of his government on this very issue. Nonetheless, the article gives some instances of the actions which have been now focusing on the activities that keep their students away from the traditional way of learning and involve them in activities that engage them, that teach them the importance of community that teach them the importance of social interaction and the friendship with nature. Have a pause with me here. Let’s have a cursory glance on our schools. Alas At here the futures of this country who are still forcing to follow the rote learning facts instead of teaching them wellbeing! It is safe to say that the direction of our schooling system is entirely opposite to the direction that we have to follow. Our schooling system is still mired in the fact searching and memorizing those facts that have now made possible by technology just away from a click.
Most importantly, in our case, schools are busy in turning students into psychopath instead of
making them a well-being in this universe. It is alarming that the outdated system of our
education system is just profiting a few but it is killing millions of communities. Sadly, the
corrupt syllabus in schools has been failing to make students critical thinkers in their
surroundings. It seems that our high ups are knowingly ignoring the aforementioned drawbacks
and loopholes in the system of schooling and jeopardizing the future of this planet. The inaction of concerned authorities, who are responsible for giving new height to the education system, unpack their seriousness on this vary issue.
Moreover, we need to replace immediately the current fact and figure oriented system to a
system which helps the new generation to be non-violent, which helps them how to be tolerant in this blood bathing world and which makes student to think what is the importance of being with nature and what is the pitfalls of going away from natural world.
Last but not the least, what is missing in our schooling, however, is a commitment to putting
mental and physical wellbeing at the very heart of our education system. Unless our way of
educating young minds shifts towards Eco-friendly system, our desire to make prosperous this planet will be far away from our imagination. And think, how we will have schools on a dead planet.
