Project Coordinator (Gilgit Region)

Aga Khan Health Service, Pakistan (AKHS,P) is seeking a seasoned and dynamic Project Coordinator for the Gilgit Region.

Key Responsibilities and Tasks

  • Prepare yearly budget work plan for the project.
  • Execute the work plan activities in the region and track budget spendings.
  • Prepare project reports and timely submit them to the regional head and head of programs.
  • Monitor field activities with relevant staff to ensure project activities, deliverables, and timelines are met as per the project plan.
  • Supervise and ensure coordination between frontline workers and data collectors, providing guidance to ensure the mobile application is used and all relevant data is entered as required.
  • Coordinate with field workers to resolve identified issues.
  • Monitor field team activities to ensure proper implementation and oversee project data collection activities.
  • Ensure live and offline data is synced with the central server.
  • Communicate updates and issues to field supervisors and the Digital Health Resource Centre’s team regularly.
  • Plan, organize, and manage periodic surveys according to the project’s M&E framework.
  • Coordinate with government departments (EPI, National Program for LHWs, District Health Officers, and supervisory teams) as needed for the project.
  • Serve as a liaison with field staff and supervisors.

Education, Experience, & Competencies

  • Bachelors or Masters in any field; social sciences or public health preferred.
  • 2-4 years of work experience in a similar role.
  • Basic knowledge and experience with mobile phones/technologies.
  • Experience managing field teams.
  • Sensitivity to cultural differences.
  • Ability to manage time and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Excellent team player.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Resilience and ability to cope with work pressure.
  • Ability to speak and understand local languages of Gilgit Baltistan.
