Job Description:
The British High Commission in Islamabad invites applications for the position of Communications Manager (B3). The Communications Manager will be responsible for delivering innovative, informative, and targeted media communications on behalf of the Press and Digital Office. The role involves working closely with the rest of the High Commission to manage the Communications planning grid.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Identify media opportunities for internal and external communications, media releases, and digital communications.
- Draft regular content to support communication activities.
- Manage the Communications planning grid, coordinating with various sections across the mission.
- Develop an understanding of key digital audiences and target them with cutting-edge digital engagement.
- Collaborate with the Strategic Communications team to develop media and communications opportunities.
- Organize press briefings, interviews, press conferences, and other press opportunities.
- Conduct regular media monitoring and publish relevant stories of interest to policy leads.
- Evaluate the impact and lessons learned from media opportunities.
- Support digital collaboration and partnership opportunities with external platforms to extend reach and increase the impact of digital campaigns.
Essential Qualifications, Skills, and Experience:
- Knowledge/experience of the Pakistani media landscape.
- Degree or equivalent (master’s degree desirable).
- At least 4 years of experience working in a similar environment.

Salary Package:
- For BHC candidates: Local Staff BHC Terms & Conditions apply.
- For non-BHC candidates: Basic salary of PKR 125,432 per month.
