Supervisory/Managerial Responsibilities
The incumbent guides a team of 10, which includes 3 direct reports including Project Coordinators, WEE from provinces as well as 1 affiliate personnel consultants.
Key Responsibilities
- Programme Strategy: Contribute technically to development of programme strategies in Women Economic Empowerment & Humanitarian Action
- Implementation Support: Provide substantive technical support to implementation and management of WEE&HA
- Capacity Development: Provide technical assistance and capacity development to project/programme partners
- Monitoring & Reporting: Provide technical inputs to monitoring and reporting of programme/project
- Management: Provide substantive technical inputs to management of people and finances of WEE&HA
- Partnerships: Provide substantive inputs to building partnerships and resource mobilization strategies
- Coordination: Provide technical support to inter-agency coordination on WEE&HA to achieve coherence and alignment of UN Women programmes with other partners
- Advocacy: Provide substantive inputs to advocacy, knowledge building and communication efforts
Recruitment Qualifications
Education and Certification
- Required: Master's degree or equivalent in social sciences, human rights, gender/women's studies, international development, or related field
- Alternative: First-level university degree Bachelor's in combination with 2 additional years of qualifying experience may be accepted in lieu of Master's
- Added Advantage: Project/programme management certification PMP, PRINCE2, etc.
Experience Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of progressively responsible work experience in development programme/project implementation, coordination, monitoring and evaluation, donor reporting and capacity building
- Desirable: Experience in Women's Economic Empowerment
- Desirable: Experience coordinating and liaising with government agencies and/or donors
- Required: Experience in usage of computers and office software MS Word, Excel, etc. and spreadsheet and database packages, experience in handling web-based management systems
- Desirable: Experience in use of modern web-based ERP System, preferably Oracle Cloud
