1. Communication Officer – RDI Gilgit
Position: 01 | Reporting To: Head of Knowledge Management / KM Coordinator
Location: Near Heli Chowk, River View Road, Gilgit, Gilgit Baltistan
Job Summary:
The Communication Officer will develop and implement internal and external communication strategies, manage digital platforms, create engaging content, and promote RDI’s programs and impact. The role ensures strong visibility, builds partnerships, and supports effective information sharing with stakeholders across Pakistan.
Key Responsibilities:
Communication Strategy: Develop and implement communication & visibility strategies
Digital Management: Manage website and social media platforms
Content Creation: Create digital content, reports and publications
Documentation: Document case studies and success stories
Media Relations: Build relationships with media and stakeholders
Emergency Campaigns: Develop campaigns and communication materials during emergencies
Coordination: Coordinate with M&E and Policy & Partnership teams for reports and promotional materials
Key Deliverables:
Communication and visibility strategy implemented
Website and social media platforms are regularly updated
Monthly, quarterly and annual communication products developed
Case studies, success stories and promotional materials published
Media partnerships and stakeholder engagement strengthened
Core Competencies:
Content Development & Storytelling | Digital Marketing & Social Media Management | Media Relations & Public Relations | Branding & Visibility Management | Graphic Design & Multimedia Communication | Creativity & Innovation | Presentation Skills
Qualifications & Experience:
Education: Bachelor’s / Master’s degree in Mass Communication, Journalism, Marketing, Media Studies, or related field
Experience: Minimum 3-5 years of relevant experience
Skills: Excellent content writing and digital marketing skills | Experience managing websites and social media platforms | Graphic design and multimedia skills preferred
2. Mental Health Officer – RDI Karachi
Position: 01 | Reporting To: Head of Knowledge Management / KM Coordinator
Location: RF Provincial Office, Karachi, Sindh
Terms of Reference (TORs):
Assessment: Conduct mental health and psychosocial needs assessments in target communities
MHPSS Implementation: Design and implement Mental Health and Psychosocial Support interventions
Counseling: Provide individual and group counseling sessions within professional boundaries
Referrals: Establish and manage referral pathways for specialized mental health services
Awareness: Conduct awareness sessions on mental health, stress management, and emotional wellbeing
Training: Train project staff, teachers, caregivers, and community volunteers on basic psychosocial support
Material Development: Develop mental health education materials and awareness campaigns
Integration: Support integration of mental health components into ECD, education, health, and community development programmes
Documentation: Maintain confidential client records and case management documentation
Monitoring: Monitor programme activities and collect data against established indicators
Reporting: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual reports on programme progress and outcomes
Coordination: Coordinate with government departments, health facilities, community organizations, and other stakeholders
Key Deliverables:
Mental health and psychosocial support activities implemented according to approved work plans
Awareness and counseling sessions conducted with documented participant records
Functional referral system established and maintained for mental health cases
Capacity-building trainings delivered to staff, teachers, and community members
Monitoring reports, case documentation, and programme progress reports submitted on time
Core Competencies:
Knowledge of psychosocial support, counseling techniques, and mental health interventions | Ability to conduct trainings, awareness sessions, and stakeholder engagement effectively | Ability to assess cases, identify risks, and facilitate appropriate referrals and follow-up | Commitment to safeguarding, confidentiality, cultural sensitivity, and ethical practice
Qualifications:
Education: Master’s Degree in Psychology, Clinical Psychology, Counseling Psychology, Social Work, Public Health, or a related field
Experience: Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in mental health, counseling, psychosocial support, or community health programmes
Knowledge: Knowledge of safeguarding, child protection, and community-based mental health approaches
Language: Proficiency in English and Urdu
