Required Qualifications and Experience
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Social Work, International Relations, Human Rights, Law, Development Studies, or a related field from an accredited academic institution
- Master's degree in a relevant field is an advantage
Experience
- Minimum 5 years of relevant professional experience in protection and disability inclusion
- Added Value: Experience in case management and/or cash for protection programming
- Capacity Building: Experience in supporting capacity-building activities and/or training delivery
- Field Operations: Experience in field monitoring, reporting, and liaison with implementing partners and stakeholders
- Humanitarian Context: Experience working in humanitarian or development settings, preferably in complex or emergency contexts
- UN/NGO Experience: Prior experience working with international organizations, NGOs, or UN agencies is an advantage
Languages
- Required: English and Urdu
- Assessment: Proficiency will be specifically evaluated during selection process through written and/or oral assessments
Key Responsibilities - Expected
Based on the title and required experience, the Specialist will:
- Mainstream Disability Inclusion: Ensure disability inclusion is integrated across all IOM programs and operations in Pakistan
- Protection Programming: Design and implement protection activities for vulnerable populations including persons with disabilities
- Technical Support: Provide technical guidance to IOM teams and partners on disability inclusion standards
- Capacity Building: Conduct trainings for IOM staff, partners, and stakeholders on protection and disability inclusion
- Case Management: Support individual protection cases and cash for protection interventions
- Monitoring & Reporting: Field monitoring visits, data collection, and donor reporting on protection outcomes
- Coordination: Liaise with UN agencies, NGOs, OPDs - Organizations of Persons with Disabilities, and government
- Policy Development: Contribute to SOPs, guidelines, and tools for disability-inclusive programming

Selection Process
