Position: Project Manager – Aga Khan Schools, EdTech Office Islamabad
The AKS EdTech Office, Islamabad invites applications from eligible and interested candidates for the position of Project Manager.
Job Description - Project Manager EdTech
The Project Manager will lead the planning, execution, monitoring, and reporting of EdTech initiatives across AKES. The role sits at the operational centre of the EdTech program and requires:
- Coordinate multiple concurrent programs across 156+ schools
- Manage cross-functional teams and school-level stakeholders
- Ensure implementation targets are met on time and to quality
- Develop and maintain project plans and implementation trackers
- Facilitate working group meetings and follow up on action items
- Gather progress updates from field and country teams
- Produce structured reports for program leadership
The Project Manager will also support the evaluation and onboarding of EdTech platforms and vendors, working closely with academic, technology, and operations teams to ensure new tools are integrated effectively into the program.
Key Technical Requirements:
- Proficiency in LMS platforms such as Moodle is an advantage
- Experience with virtual meeting tools and content development applications
- Microsoft Office including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint for reporting and analysis
- Proficiency with project management tools and data dashboards is necessary
- Strong understanding of educational technology in a school context
- Ability to navigate a complex multi-site, multi-stakeholder environment
Eligibility Criteria
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Education Technology, Project Management, Business Administration, or a related field
- Master's degree preferred
- PMP certification or equivalent is an advantage
Experience
- Minimum 3-5 years of project management experience is required
- Preference for candidates who have worked in education, EdTech, or development sector context
- Experience managing multi-site projects and school-level implementation preferred
Skills Required
- Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills are essential
- Must be comfortable managing competing priorities across multiple workstreams
- Ability to communicate program status clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Proactive problem-solving and ability to work under pressure
