Outline of Main Duties / Responsibilities
- To receive cash from Branch Operations Supervisor/Manager, record denominations for cashier/sorting functions
- To provide account services to customers by receiving deposits and withdrawals in customer account
- To facilitate remittance, various utility bills collection, Government receipts/payments and agency-based collection
- To ensure effective vault management and holding of cash keys as per Bank SOP
- To forward cheque(s) beyond assigned limit to Branch Operations Supervisor/Manager for authorization
- To count and sort cash as per SBP directives and match with deposit slip details, enter in system, credit customer's account
- To receive, check and process Funds Transfer & ATM related transactions and their balancing
- To handle customer requests like change of currency notes, respond per procedures and guide customers
- To maintain highest standards of customer service to ensure zero complaints and handling within Turn Around Time (TAT)
- To balance/sort cash and preparation of Cash Book and check cash before day-end with system reports
- To balance cash vouchers and posting of all cash related transactions in the system
- To cross-sell bank products by answering queries, informing customers of new services and product promotions
- To ensure availability and disbursement of fresh cash over counters as per SBP directives
- To balance/reconcile sorted, unsorted, re-issuable, defective and new currency notes prior to placing in cash vault
- To identify and immediately inform any unusual or suspicious (STR) cash flow activity to Branch Operations Manager
- To ensure all cash-related General Ledger (GL) accounts are periodically reconciled with actual records
- To be responsible for sufficient replenishment of ATM on as-and-when-required basis
- To ensure rectification of Audit findings with respect to cash management
- To ensure Shariah Compliance
- To carry out any other duty assigned by the Supervisor
