Position Details – Assistant Manager (Civil) Gilgit
Al-Shifa Trust Eye Hospital is seeking a qualified and experienced Civil Engineer to supervise and manage construction activities at its Gilgit facility. This is a key position for hospital infrastructure development and maintenance.
Qualification & Experience Required
Educational Requirement: Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering registered with PEC (Pakistan Engineering Council) or DAE Civil. PEC registration is mandatory for BSc/BE Civil degree holders.
Experience Requirement: Minimum 6 Years of experience with BSc (Civil Engineering) or 10 years with DAE Civil works in supervising civil & structural works. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in hospital infrastructure or high rise building projects.
Technical Skills Required:
1. High Rise Construction Techniques: Strong knowledge of high rise constructions techniques including RCC frame structures, foundations, finishing works, and structural safety standards.
2. Construction Management Tools: Proficiency in MS Office & construction management tools such as MS Project, Primavera P6, AutoCAD, or similar project planning software.
3. Hospital Infrastructure: Familiarities with hospital infrastructure requirements including OTs, ICUs, wards, OPD blocks, HVAC systems, medical gas pipelines, and infection control standards in construction.
Key Responsibilities
The selected Assistant Manager (Civil) will be responsible for:
1. Supervising all ongoing and new civil & structural works at Al-Shifa Trust Eye Hospital Gilgit.
2. Ensuring quality control, site safety, and compliance with approved drawings, BOQs, and PEC standards.
3. Coordinating with contractors, architects, consultants, and hospital administration for smooth project execution.
4. Managing hospital-specific construction requirements like operation theaters, sterilization areas, and patient facilities.
5. Preparing project progress reports, cost estimates, and documentation using MS Office and project management software.
6. Handling renovations, repairs, and maintenance of existing hospital buildings in Gilgit.
Eligibility Criteria
Education: BSc/BE Civil Engineering with PEC registration OR 3-Year DAE in Civil Technology.
Experience: 6 years for Engineers | 10 years for DAE holders. Experience must be in supervision of civil/structural works.
Preferred Background: Candidates with hospital construction or high-rise building project experience will be given preference.
Skills: MS Office, AutoCAD, MS Project/Primavera, strong site management and communication skills.
Location: Must be willing to work in Gilgit. Local candidates from Gilgit-Baltistan will be preferred.
