FPSC Written Result of CSS Competitive Examination 2024

CSS Competitive Examination 2024 Written Result Announced by FPSC

The Federal Public Service Commission (FPSC) announced the result of the written part of the CSS Competitive Examination 2024 on April 28, 2025. This is a significant milestone in the annual recruitment process for Pakistan's central superior services, through which candidates are selected for appointment to various civil service groups under the federal government in BS-17. The result notification reflects the culmination of a rigorous and highly competitive examination process that tests the intellectual caliber, analytical abilities, and written communication skills of aspiring civil servants.

The CSS examination is widely considered the most prestigious and challenging exam in Pakistan, attracting thousands of applicants from across the country every year. Candidates undergo a demanding written examination composed of twelve papers, including compulsory and optional subjects. The 2024 cycle maintained the same format, testing a broad range of knowledge in areas such as English Essay, English Precis and Composition, General Science and Ability, Current Affairs, Pakistan Affairs, and Islamic Studies or Comparative Religion, along with optional subjects chosen from a defined list.

In this initial result announcement, FPSC has published the roll numbers and names of those candidates who have qualified in the written part. These candidates are now eligible to move on to the next stages of the selection process, which include medical examinations, psychological assessments, and viva voce (interviews). Only those who successfully clear all these stages will be recommended for final appointment in one of the occupational groups or services including Pakistan Administrative Service (PAS), Police Service of Pakistan (PSP), Foreign Service of Pakistan (FSP), and others.

It is important to note that qualification in the written part does not guarantee final selection. Candidates must also meet various prerequisites laid out in Rule 11(20) of the CSS Competitive Examination Rules, 2019, and fulfill additional eligibility requirements such as age, academic qualifications, and documentation. Furthermore, all shortlisted individuals are subject to strict scrutiny to ensure transparency and merit-based recruitment.

FPSC’s transparent and merit-oriented process ensures that only the most capable and deserving candidates enter the civil services. The announcement of the written result is a moment of celebration for many who have spent months, if not years, preparing for this exam. At the same time, it signals the beginning of another critical phase in the journey of aspiring bureaucrats.

Candidates are advised to regularly check the FPSC website for updates on interview schedules and other formal instructions.
