The Karakoram Area Development Organization (KADO) - Hunza is on the lookout for a Chief Executive Officer (CEO) who can bring strategic vision and leadership to the organization. The role of the CEO is crucial in steering KADO towards its mission of sustainable development and community empowerment in Gilgit-Baltistan and Chitral. Key Responsibilities

As the CEO of the Karakoram Area Development Organization (KADO) - Hunza, the selected candidate will be expected to lead the organization with a strategic vision that aligns with its core mission. The CEO will be responsible for:

  1. Strategic Leadership:

    Championing entrepreneurship, digital livelihoods, women’s empowerment, and the inclusion of Persons with Disabilities (PWDs) in the region. The CEO will need to drive innovation in the start-up ecosystem, incubation, and co-working spaces, helping to create opportunities for economic growth and social inclusion.

  5. Climate and Gender Challenges:
    Addressing challenges related to climate change, gender disparities, and economic frameworks. The CEO must be proactive in navigating these issues, ensuring that KADO's initiatives are inclusive and responsive to the needs of the local population.

  6. Commitment to the Region:
    Committing to residing in Hunza and traveling extensively within Gilgit-Baltistan, Chitral, and across the country as required. The CEO's presence in the region is vital for understanding the local context and ensuring the effective implementation of KADO's programs.

Qualifications & Requirements

The Karakoram Area Development Organization (KADO) - Hunza has set forth the following qualifications and requirements for the role of CEO:

    A Master’s degree in Development Studies, Business Administration, Computer Science/Information Technology, Public Administration, Environmental Sciences, or a related field is required.
