Latest PM Youth Skills Development Programme Under NAVTTC-2024
The National Vocational and Technical Training Commission (NAVTTC), under the Ministry of Federal Education and Professional Training, is the apex body for technical education and vocational training (TVET) in Pakistan. In line with the Prime Minister's vision to enhance the country's workforce, NAVTTC is launching the first-ever sector-specific training program for HR development in the Mining & Minerals sector. This initiative is part of the PM Youth Skills Development Programme Under NAVTTC-2024.
Offered Trades and Duration
To cater to the demands of the Mining & Minerals sector, the following trades are being offered in Batch-2 of the PM Youth Skills Development Programme Under NAVTTC-2024:
Drilling and Drilling Fluids
- Duration: 3 Months
Fundamentals of Minerals
- Duration: 3 Months
Gems & Jewellery
- Jewellery Electroplater - Duration: 6 Months
- CAD/CAM Jewellery Designing - Duration: 6 Months
- Laser Hall Making - Duration: 3 Months
- Crush Plant Operator - Duration: 3 Months
- Master Caster - Duration: 3 Months
- Digger Operator - Duration: 3 Months
- Mining Technician - Duration: 3 Months
- Advance Civil Survey - Duration: 3 Months
- Fashion Jewellery Maker - Duration: 6 Months
- Gold Smith - Duration: 3 Months
- Manual Jewellery Designer - Duration: 6 Months
- Stone Setter - Duration: 3 Months
- Gemstone Carving - Duration: 3 Months
- Gemstone Identification - Duration: 6 Months
- Heavy Machinery Operator - Duration: 3 Months
- Gemstone Faceting & Polishing - Duration: 6 Months

- Marble Quarry Master - Duration: 6 Months
- Marble Technician (Value Edition) - Duration: 6 Months

Expression of Interest (EOI)
NAVTTC invites Expressions of Interest (EOI) from technically qualified and financially sound public/private technical and vocational training institutes, universities, small and medium entities, enterprises, and industries to conduct specialized trainings under the PM Youth Skills Development Programme Under NAVTTC-2024. The applicant institute must pay a registration fee of Rs. 25,000 and a per trade fee of Rs. 10,000 in NAVTTC's account upon contract award. Account details will be provided later.
Eligibility Criteria
The applicant institute must be registered or affiliated with the respective Provincial Technical Education & Vocational Training Authority (TEVTA), Board of Technical Education (BTE), Trade Testing Board (TTB), or a HEC-recognized university. Entities, enterprises, or industries must be registered under the Industrial Act or have membership with the local Chamber of Commerce & Industries and possess an Industrial Training Unit for imparting skill training.
Application Process
Interested institutes/entities must create a new login and apply for the specialized trainings on NAVTTC's online Project Management System (PMS) available from 4th August 2024 to 19th August 2024. The link is: https://nsis.navttc.gov.pk/institute-signup/mines-and-minerals.
Hardcopies of the filled-in application proforma along with supporting documents must be submitted to the concerned NAVTTC Regional Offices by 11:00 AM on 19th August 2024. EOIs will be opened at 11:30 AM on the same day.

This initiative under the PM Youth Skills Development Programme Under NAVTTC-2024 aims to empower the youth with specialized skills to enhance their employability in the Mining & Minerals sector, thereby contributing to the socio-economic development of Pakistan.
