Job Announcement: Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E) Officer

Position: Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E) Officer

Location: Gilgit, Gilgit-Baltistan
Number of Positions: 1

Eligibility Criteria:

• Education:

  • The candidate should hold a Master’s degree in Statistics, Economics, Social Sciences, or an equivalent field.

• Experience:

  • The candidate should have at least 3 years of relevant experience in monitoring and evaluation, preferably within the development sector.

• Skills and Abilities:

  • Strategic thinking ability to develop and implement effective M&E frameworks.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with team members, stakeholders, and community members.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop M&E Frameworks:

  • Design and implement robust monitoring and evaluation frameworks to track the progress and impact of various projects and initiatives.

• Data Collection and Analysis:

  • Oversee the collection of qualitative and quantitative data from field activities.
  • Analyze data to assess the effectiveness and impact of programs and make data-driven recommendations for improvements.

• Reporting:

  • Prepare comprehensive reports detailing the findings of M&E activities.
  • Present data and findings to stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.

• Capacity Building:

  • Train and mentor project staff on M&E processes and the importance of data-driven decision-making.
  • Develop training materials and conduct workshops to enhance the M&E capacity of team members.

• Coordination and Collaboration:

  • Work closely with project managers and other team members to ensure M&E processes are integrated into project planning and implementation.
  • Liaise with external stakeholders, including donors and partners, to share M&E findings and align efforts.

• Continuous Improvement:

  • Identify areas for improvement within the M&E processes and recommend innovative solutions.
  • Stay updated with the latest trends and best practices in M&E and incorporate them into the organization’s methodologies.
