State Bank of Pakistan (SBP), the Central Bank, is offering an exciting opportunity for young, talented, and energetic individuals to join the Statistical Officers Training Scheme. This scheme aims to recruit individuals for the position of Statistical Officers (OG-2) based in Karachi. Eligibility Criteria:

Education: Candidates must hold a Master's, Bachelor's, or equivalent degree with 16 years of education from HEC recognized Pakistani institutions in Statistics, Actuarial Sciences, or Data Sciences. The minimum required percentage is at least 60% marks or equivalent GPA where applicable. Candidates with foreign degrees must provide an equivalence certificate from HEC.

Batches graduating until 30th June 2024 may apply with provisional transcripts of the 7th semester (for bachelor's) or 3rd semester (for master's) with the required percentage/CGPA stated above. However, they must fulfill the condition to clear the final examination in the first attempt.

Age: Applicants must be maximum 26 years old as of the date of the newspaper advertisement, which is March 10, 2024. However, there is a relaxation of three years in the age limit for female candidates, transgender persons, candidates belonging to minorities, and candidates from Baluchistan, Azad Jammu Kashmir, Gilgit Baltistan, and areas which were previously part of FATA.

Application and Testing Procedure:

Interested candidates meeting the eligibility criteria are required to apply online through the SBP Career Portal (https://career.sbp.org.pk/login). The application process must be followed as per the instructions provided on the portal.

Age will be considered as per the CNIC on the date of advertisement. Applications lacking essential information such as photograph, date of birth, or other important details will not be shortlisted. Applications not meeting the defined requirements/criteria in the advertisement will not be entertained.

The last date for submission of applications is March 25, 2024. Applications submitted in person or through email will not be accepted, and no fee is required to be submitted.

Shortlisted candidates will be informed via SMS and admit cards will be sent to their postal addresses as well as uploaded on the testing agency's website for the written test, which will be held at designated test centers.

Selection Procedure:

Shortlisted candidates who pass the written test and meet other eligibility criteria will be invited for further selection processes, including group discussions, psychometric testing, and panel interviews. Candidates must bring original educational/professional documents, equivalence certificate from HEC (for foreign qualifications), domicile, and CNIC for verification.

Candidates attempting to influence the recruitment process inappropriately or providing false information shall be disqualified from the current and future recruitment processes at the Bank, even if otherwise qualified.

Pre-Induction Training:

Selected candidates will undergo Applied Focused Theoretical Training (residential) at the National Institute of Banking and Finance (NIBAF), Islamabad. Upon successful completion and qualification of the training, candidates will be offered appointment as Assistant Director (OG-2) at SBP, Karachi.

Compensation Package:

During the training period, trainees will receive a monthly stipend of Rs. 41,000. Upon successful completion of the training, they will be appointed as Statistical Officers (OG-2) with a consolidated monthly monetized salary of Rs. 82,000, along with other benefits as per Bank rules.
