All tourism lovers' whether they are local or from abroad
are well aware about the important and unique tourist places of Pakistan.
Somewhat among those most of the unfathomable stunning & allure spots which
has been gifted to this world by the Almighty are situated in Hunza District.
It is natural scenic beauty extensive Pastures, enchanting Lakes, gushing
Waterfalls, Geyser and cold water Springs, crystal clear Streams and brocks, meandering
Rivers & Rivulets, lore & legend from ancient to modern including it is
inestimable culture heritage always remained indelible for peripatetic visiting
here this part of the world.
Ipso-facto, "The British Backpacker Society"
recently declared GB in general and Hunza in particular the most incredible,
safe & serene attractive destination for the International tourism. It is
also the gateway of CPEC and has very important position owing to its
geopolitical situation and geographic placement on the map of the globe. Apart
from aforementioned facts, in the past many years the country was remained in
the exiguous grip of terrorism, corruption and law & order situation and
due to the prevailing chaotic conditions the country was facing an extreme
recession in all the business & financial sectors, nevertheless despite
facing abundance of impediments the tourism industry was only business sector
which has always extended its positive role by earning an immense amount of
exchange for the exchequers of the country and luckily in this field of
business the GB in general and Hunza in particular has always given great
contribution from a protracted period of time even without attaining any
significant support and relief from Local or Federal Governments accordingly.
By kismet the area is overwhelmed with numerous types of
natural resources and somewhat the local government cannot utilize theses
resources properly to ameliorate life style of their poor people. Hence despite
spending huge amounts on many projects they omit to provide even the basic need
of modern times i.e. electricity in sufficient quantity to fulfil the
requirements of this most important tourist spot of the country. Certainly such
erroneous and intensely negligence on behalf of local authorities towards the
area is a most pressing issue which ought to be addressed on priority basis,
while entire district of Hunza is plunged into darkness and the local
government is paying no heeds to resolve the basic problem and forced people of
Hunza to live a life of prehistoric period from last many years, as inference
the tourism business of the area is also suffering extremely and people
associated with this pecuniary lucrative industry are much deteriorating and
enduring great deal of unmanageable difficulties from prevailing uncertain
situation.
In addition to the facts mentioned above it is unfortunate
the extinction of electricity in the freezing temperature the managements of
all the Hotels situated here are compelled to provide "Liquid petroleum
Gas" LPG heaters in the rooms for their guests which some time become
pivotal cause of calamities. Consequently couple of weeks back owing to surge
over CO2 in a room of local Hotel a young couple of tourist lost their precious
lives. In the light of later mentioned facts, we suggest your good authority to
avoid and avert such sort of misfortunes in the future ought to be taken hast
steps and provided alternative and sustainable solutions for the generation of
sufficient quantity of electric power in the area.
Besides above facts the tourist visiting here are mostly
ignorant of environmental degradation and without any hindrance disseminating
everywhere abundance of solid waste which becomes creation of mawkish stench in
the atmosphere and owing to non-existence of appropriate modes operand for
garbage collection, lifting and disposing the situation is worsening gradually
so it become exigency to grope a solution of this intensifying problem. It is a
long awaiting genuine demand of the terrestrials of Hunza that the government
has promised to bestowed 2nd seat in the legislative assembly of GB even the
course of delimitation process is already completed, yet it not perceives the
government is serious enough to entrust another seat to this area in near
future.
Hunza district is the gateway to the countries of central
Asia and China and certainly it is well recognized that the CPEC is a game
changing project which Traverses through this part of Pakistan, somewhat it is
a tale of woe that in this colossal pecuniary lucrative project nothing
participation has been given to Hunza district so far. The people of Hunza
right to mention that their district has equal importance as Gwadar Port but it
has been kept devoid of from their fundamental rights. Thus in the light of aforementioned
facts the people of Hunza demanded their due share must be endowed to them in
the CPEC project so the situation of uncertainty could be eradicated.
The ensuing devastating situation of Hassanabad Nullah where
emerging a lake is not less than a serious threat to the area only, rather it
is an emanating threat for the rest of the areas situated along the each sides
of river Indus right from source up to the entrance of Tarbela Dam. This most
alarming issue also invites the attention of Federal Government to take
appropriate masers prior to face huge financial and other losses. Albeit the
people of Hunza District are very much optimistic that the government of PTI
under the able leadership of Prime Minister of Imran Khan will consider the
genuine demands of the dwellers of Hunza and advice to the local administration
of GB to quest some appropriate solution on priority basis.
