Wimmel Research-Fellowship 2018 in Germany
WIMMELRESEARCH-FELLOWSHIP 2018 IN GERMANY
CONTEXT
The "WimmelResearch-Fellowship" is a collaborative initiative between Robert Bosch GmbH, Akademie Schloss Solitude, and Wimmelforschung. It is part of the development of Platform 12, an experimental space conceived by the artistic duo Wimmelforschung in collaboration with Bosch. This platform, situated within Bosch's new center for research and advance engineering, serves as a creative hub and space for reflection, fostering interdisciplinary encounters among researchers. The platform features a permanent collaboration with Akademie Schloss Solitude, where artists from various disciplines intervene in the company's structure as indirect observers and instigators from the outside.
CENTRAL AIM
The fellowship aims to support encounters and interdisciplinary exchange in the realms of science, economy, and art. Unlike focusing on the production of a specific artistic work, the primary goal of the collaboration is the process of intercommunication itself. Platform 12 seeks to create a dynamic setting where artists and employees work concurrently on their projects, fostering mutual encounters and idea exchange.
