The U.S. Summer Sisters Exchange Program 2018

Scholarship Opportunity for Female High School Students

Embark on an enriching journey this summer with a scholarship to study at esteemed universities in the United States! iEARN-Pakistan, in collaboration with American University, is proud to announce the U.S. Summer Sisters Exchange Program 2018, inviting dynamic Pakistani female students to participate.

The U.S. Summer Sisters Exchange Program offers high school females the chance to attend pre-college summer programs at prestigious American universities. This initiative is now part of the "Let Girls Learn" initiative, funded by the U.S. Department of State and administered by a consortium of partners including American University, iEARN, the Society for International Education, and the US-Pakistan Women’s Council.

This program encourages gifted female high school students to explore various disciplines such as science, leadership, and international affairs at U.S. universities. Supported by the U.S. Department of State, the U.S. Embassy in Pakistan, and academic partners, participants of the Summer Sisters program develop leadership skills, gain confidence in shaping their future, and serve as cultural ambassadors to the United States.

In past years, our academic partners have included prestigious institutions such as American University, Babson College, Barnard College, Brown University, Duke University, Harvard University, and others. Continuing the mission of the US-Pakistan Women’s Council, the U.S. Summer Sisters Exchange Program, now in its fourth year, aims to recruit 22 dynamic young girls through a rigorous selection process conducted by the Society for International Education, American University, and the US-Pakistan Women’s Council.

Scholarship winners will have the opportunity to live and study at these universities, developing their leadership skills, forming lasting friendships, and gaining insights into entrepreneurship and careers in business, science, or international relations.
