Call for Applications: ATSA Fellowship 2018-19
The ARThinkSouthAsia Fellowship invites applications for the 2018-19 program, designed to nurture potential leaders in the arts and cultural sector of South Asia. The fellowship aims to enhance skills, knowledge, networks, and experience, fostering individuals who can drive positive change in the cultural field.
Key Details:
- Number of Fellows: 15 from across South Asia.
- Funding: Fully funded fellowship.
- Program Components:
- A two‐week residential course in India (May 2018): Intensive modules in Strategic Planning, Cultural Policy, Marketing and Communications, Fundraising, HR, and Finance.
- 30-day secondment with a cultural institution in Germany/UK/South Asia (2018-19).
- Concluding seminar in May 2019 (to be confirmed).
- Supported by: Goethe-Institut, British Council, and the Piramal Art Foundation.
Application Guidelines:
- Open to practitioners across arts and cultural activities, as well as those outside it, demonstrating knowledge, understanding, and passion for arts and culture.
- Each participant must apply with an ongoing project, either part of an existing cultural organization or an independent project.
- The proposal should highlight the organization/project's needs for building efficiency and sustainability.
- Curatorial and research projects are not applicable for this fellowship.
- Shortlisted candidates may undergo a phone interview before final selection.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Minimum 3 years of work experience in the arts/culture sector.
- Submission of an ongoing arts/culture project.
- Open to residents of Afghanistan, Bangladesh, India, Iran, Nepal, Pakistan, and Sri Lanka.
Timeline:
- 31 October 2017: Application Deadline.
- 10 November 2017: Acknowledgement of receipt to candidates with complete applications.
- 20 December 2017: Notification to shortlisted candidates.

Post-Selection Requirements: If selected, you will be required to submit:
- A countersigned contract sent upon notification of selection.
- A scanned copy of your passport.
- A No Objection Certificate from your current employer (if applicable).
