Role Overview

The Programme Officer (Data & Evidence) SJD is integral to supporting the Planning and Monitoring Office, NOB, in situation monitoring and national and provincial surveys. This role operates under the general supervision of the Planning & Monitoring Officer, contributing to data and evidence generation, analysis, and progress reporting for evidence-based programming and monitoring.

Key Duties & Tasks

  1. Support the implementation of Multiple Indicator Cluster Surveys (MICS) in Pakistan.
  2. Facilitate training and capacity development activities.
  3. Provide technical support for MICS implementation to FO PME colleagues.
  4. Assist in secondary analysis and the development of information and communication products, such as equity profiles.
  5. Support CO programme sections in analyzing and reviewing relevant data from surveys and administrative systems.
  6. Assist in supporting national surveys like the National Nutrition Survey, Demographic and Health Survey.
  7. Aid in preparing and updating the Situation Analysis.
  8. Assist in supporting country office planning, program review meetings, mid-year and annual reviews with data and evidence.

Qualifications & Competencies

  • Education: University degree in economics, development planning, statistics, or a related technical field.
  • Experience: One to two years progressively responsible experience in database management, planning, monitoring, reviewing, and reporting.
  • Language Requirements: Fluency in English and another local language of the duty station is an asset.
