PUBLIC NOTICE

MCQs BASED PRELIMINARY TEST (MPT)
CSS Competitive Examination-2027

1. CALL FOR APPLICATIONS:

• (a) Online applications for MPT are invited well before 20^th August, 2026.
• (b) Examination shall be governed Entirely by the CSS CE Rules, 2019 with no exceptions.
• (c) MPT will be held on 27^th September, 2026 (Sunday).
• (d) The examination shall be conducted in 19 cities in accordance with the prescribed rules.

2. ELIGIBILITY:

• (a) Qualifying MPT is mandatory for applying and appearing in main CSS CE-2027.
• (b) Candidates must hold at least a Bachelor's Degree (Second Division).
• Age must be 21-30 years on the cutoff date; a two-year relaxation is admissible to categories specified in Rule 6.
• (c) The cutoff date is 31^st December 2026 for determining age, qualification, domicile, and all other eligibility criteria, in accordance with Rule 5.
• (d) Under Rules 11(20) and 11(21), candidates are provisionally admitted at their own risk. If found ineligible at any stage, their candidature shall be cancelled, regardless of appearance or qualification of even the entire process. Candidates must ensure full and complete compliance with all eligibility requirements before applying.

3. PROCEDURE TO APPLY:

• (a) Carefully fill in the online application and check it before final submission.
• (b) Candidates intending to appear in the MCQ-Based Preliminary Test (MPT)-2027 are required to apply online through 'Apply Online' link on the FPSC website (www.fpsc.gov.pk). Candidates shall create an account, log in to the online portal, complete/update their profile, fill out the prescribed application form for MPT-2027, and generate a 16-digit PSID for the online fee payment of Rs. 250/-, well before 20^th August, 2026. (PSID is mandatory for online fee payment).
• (c) Fee can be paid online via the 1-Link facility using ATMs, mobile banking apps (Easypaisa, JazzCash, etc.), internet banking, or over the counter at any 1-Link member bank. Fee paid on old FPSC Challan Form (TR-6), or through cheque, bank draft, pay order will not be accepted."
• (d) After depositing the fee, candidates must log in again via the 'Apply Online' link on www.fpsc.gov.pk and enter the remaining required details to complete their online application.
• (e) Admission Certificates: Can be downloaded from FPSC website atleast 10 days before the test. No separate intimation to this effect will be made by FPSC.
• (f) Be informed that Examination Centre once selected shall not be changed.
• (g) CNIC & Date of Birth to be entered correctly in online form. Wrong entries will lead to rejection.
• (h) Candidates are advised to ensure the provision of correct and complete information.
• (i) FPSC has Zero tolerance against cheating/ unfair means.
