Institute of Space Technology (IST), Islamabad has announced vacancies for Faculty Posts (Lecturer / Assistant Professor / Associate Professor / Professor) and Lab Posts (Lab Engineer / Lab Associate and Technician-I / Lab Assistant).

All appointments will be on contract basis on Basic Pay Scales (BPS) Contract, Equivalent to Basic Pay Scales (EBPS) Contract and IST's Faculty Pay Scales (FPS) Contract. All posts are Islamabad based.

Eligibility Criteria & Important Instructions

• All qualifications should only be from well reputed universities / institutions recognized by the Higher Education Commission (HEC) of Pakistan and Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC) / National Computing Education Accreditation Council (NCEAC), as applicable.
• In case of foreign qualifications / degrees / certificates, submission of equivalence certificates from HEC and Inter Boards Coordination Commission (IBCC) is mandatory.
• The relevancy of the applicant's specialization / field, will be determined by the respective academic department of IST.
• The applications with academic qualifications / degrees and experience in the relevant field will be considered only.
• The age will be calculated on the closing date of applications. Ex-Govt. employees / Ex-armed forces personnel, who fulfill the eligibility criteria prescribed for the posts, may be granted age relaxation as per Govt. rules.
• Armed Forces officers / personnel, Government employees and employees of Autonomous Organizations / Institutions, who are on Leave Preparatory to Retirement (LPR), are not eligible to apply for the posts.
• NOC from current employer for applying for the advertised posts is mandatory.
• Applicants can apply for one post only, as per their eligibility for the post.
• Only shortlisted candidates would be called for interview / presentation (if required).
• TA / DA will not be admissible for appearing in the interview / presentation (if required).
• Please mark on the right hand side of the envelope, the post applied for.

Instructions for Retired / Ex-Armed Forces Personnel:

• Ex-armed forces officers / personnel should submit attested photocopies of their release / retirement order and Last Pay Certificate (LPC) duly verified from the concerned authority along with their application forms.
• Ex-armed forces officers / personnel should also submit attested photocopy of NOC (mandatory) from General HQs / Air HQs / Naval HQs, as applicable, for re-employment on the posts.
• Retired Govt. employees / Retired employees of Autonomous Organizations / Institutions should submit attested photocopies of their release / retirement order and Last Pay Certificate (LPC) duly verified from the concerned authority along with their application forms.
• Serving Regular Employees of Govt. / Semi Govt. / Autonomous Organizations / Institutions will not be appointed on deputation / Extraordinary Leave (EOL). In case of selection for appointment on any post, the applicant will be required to tender resignation from regular service.

Completely filled and duly signed prescribed Application Form along with detailed updated CV, attested photocopies of the degrees, final transcripts, certificates, final marks sheets from matric onwards, experience certificates, detailed list of research publications in HEC recognized journals i.e. "W" category (Impact Factor) journals, Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC) / National Computing Education Accreditation Council (NCEAC) valid registration certificate, as applicable (where required), retirement / release order and Last Pay Certificate (LPC), where required, NOC for applying for the post from present employer, CNIC, recent passport size photograph and all other particular documents required to support the candidates' eligibility for the applied posts should be sent to the HR department on the address mentioned below.

Application Deadline:

IST will keep accepting applications until the posts are filled except for the Lab posts of Technician-I / Lab Assistant (EBPS-10). The last / closing date for applying for the Lab posts of Technician-I / Lab Assistant (EBPS-10) is 15 days after the publication of this advertisement. Late applications for the Lab posts of Technician-I / Lab Assistant (EBPS-10) would not be processed further / considered.

IST reserves the right to reject any or all of the applications received for the posts without assigning any reason thereof. IST also reserves the right to add / reduce the number of any or all posts at any stage. The decision of the Institute in all matters regarding recruitment will be final and binding.
