1. Principal – Aga Khan Higher Secondary Schools Gilgit-Baltistan
Role: The Principal of the Aga Khan Higher Secondary School will be responsible for providing leadership, developing goals and objectives for the school, and preparing strategies and programmes to achieve these goals and objectives. S/he will be responsible for maintaining a high standard of education in the institution as well as for developing an open and conducive learning environment, supervising and supporting the professional development of the faculty, and managing and maintaining student discipline. Conduct sessions for improving the faculty's professionalism and contributing in teaching/ learning.
Ideal Candidate:
• Minimum of a Master's degree in any discipline
Minimum of 5 years of experience in educational management at an institution of good repute
Should have effective communication, management, interpersonal and leadership skills
Proficiency in MS Office and proven experience working with parents and the community are desirable
2. Vice Principal – Aga Khan Higher Secondary Schools Gilgit-Baltistan
Role: The Vice Principal of the Aga Khan Higher Secondary School will be responsible for effective academic and general management of the school. Will be supervising and supporting the professional development of the faculty and ensuring that academic operations of the school are effective. S/he will be responsible for managing student affairs, keeping the necessary records and maintaining students' discipline. Will ensure that teaching and learning on campus are effectively managed.
Ideal Candidate:
• Minimum of a Master's degree, preferably in sciences, mathematics or English
Minimum of 3 years of teaching/ educational management experience at an institution of good repute
Should have effective communication, classroom management, interpersonal and leadership skills
Should be well-versed in the application of technology in education
Proficiency in MS Word and Excel, and proven experience working with parents and the community are desirable
3. ECD Teacher Educator – Gilgit Baltistan
Role: ECD Teacher Educator will be responsible for providing academic and professional support to the ECD centres and their teachers in a cluster area. She will be responsible for providing supervisory and mentoring support to the teachers. She will also be responsible for identifying and selecting necessary resources for enriching the classrooms. Will also provide academic and professional support to grades 1 and 2 of primary classes. Coordination with RSDU and liaison with respective communities for the improvement of teaching and learning in the centres is also the responsibility of the ECD TEs.
Will conduct professional developmental sessions, workshops and training courses. Create learning environment of High Scope teaching using low/no cost materials in the classrooms. Maintaining students' portfolios, assessment records, reading logs and observations in all pre-primary and primary grade 1 and 2 classes. Conduct demo lessons in pre-primary classes as needed. Follow-up visits to all schools and support teachers in organising events in schools. Share training reports and success stories from schools.
Ideal Candidate:
• Should have 16 years of education
Six-month diploma in ECD/ECE/Montessori from a recognised institution is preferable
Should have a minimum of 3 years of teaching experience at the pre-primary level
Should have effective communication, classroom management, interpersonal and leadership skills
Should be well-versed in the application of technology in education
Proficiency in MS Word and Excel, and proven experience working with parents and the community are desirable
