Punjab University Undergraduate Admissions 2026–27: Mandatory Entry Test, Categories, Eligibility & Key Dates
Admission Test For Undergraduate Programs Academic Year 2026-27
The University of the Punjab, Lahore has officially announced the Admission Test for Undergraduate Programs for the academic year 2026–27. It is mandatory for all applicants to appear in this test in order to apply for admission to undergraduate programs.
Important Dates
- Last Date to Apply: 25 May 2026
- Test Date (Tentative): 14 June 2026 (Sunday)
Eligibility Criteria
- Students who have passed Higher Secondary School Certificate (HSSC) or Equivalent / Grade 12 education.
- Students who have appeared in the final examination of HSSC or Equivalent and are awaiting results.
Admission Test Categories
The test will be conducted in the following seven categories based on academic streams/disciplines:

Merit Calculation
The admission test carries a 25% weightage in the overall merit calculation. Candidates who qualify will be eligible to apply through the admission portal once programs are advertised.
Note
The result of last year’s PU Admission Test is not valid for new admissions. All applicants must appear in the 2026 test.
