The Federal Public Service Commission (FPSC) has released a public notice dated 28th January 2026 recommending candidates for appointment against the posts of Assistant Professor (BS-18) at the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS), under the Ministry of National Health Services, Regulations & Coordination.

Additional Notes
Nomination against one post of Neurosurgery has been pended due to a stay order in W.P.No.5037 of 2025 at Islamabad High Court. Remaining 16 posts in the given specialties will be reported as failure either after joining of the recommended candidates or in case of alternate nomination.
FPSC has clarified that remaining candidates in this case either failed in interview or were low in merit order. No further written communication will be entertained in this regard.
