Accelerate Prosperity is Hiring a Country Director in Pakistan
Accelerate Prosperity (AP), an initiative of the Aga Khan Development Network (AKDN), is seeking an experienced and visionary Country Director to lead its operations in Pakistan. This senior leadership role offers the opportunity to shape the entrepreneurial ecosystem and drive inclusive economic growth across the country.
About the Role
The Country Director will be based in Islamabad, Gilgit, or Karachi, with frequent travel to other target regions. Reporting to AP’s Executive Director (Global) and the AP Committee, the Country Director will oversee strategy, program implementation, investment portfolio management, donor engagement, and stakeholder relations.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage AP’s operations in Pakistan, including strategy, program delivery, and investment portfolio oversight.
- Ensure timely governance and management reporting on progress, finances, and compliance.
- Lead donor and grant management, including resource mobilization and adherence to compliance standards.
- Engage strategically with donors, government, private sector, and local partners to strengthen AP’s impact.
- Represent AP Pakistan in national and international forums, building networks and partnerships.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate will bring:
- 8–10 years of relevant experience, with at least 3–5 years in management.
- Strong background in entrepreneurship, enterprise development, or investment portfolio management.
- Strategic, analytical, and relationship-building skills with sound business acumen.
- Fluency in English and Urdu, with familiarity with Pakistan’s business environment.
- Commitment to youth and women’s economic empowerment as a catalyst for growth.
- International exposure and experience engaging global stakeholders is highly desirable.
