Qualifications and Experience
- Education: A Bachelor's or Diploma in Nursing, Medical Technician, or relevant health fields. A Bachelor's or Master's in Public Health or Nutrition is highly preferred.
- Experience: 1-2 years of experience in Maternal, Newborn, and Child Health (MNCH) or Nutrition.
Job Responsibilities
As an Immunization Officer, you will play a vital role in ensuring the success of vaccination campaigns across these regions. Your primary responsibilities will include:
Planning and Implementation
- Develop and implement monthly fixed, outreach, and mobile vaccination campaigns in coordination with the district Expanded Program on Immunization (EPI) teams.
- Assist in creating micro-plans for outreach delivery, ensuring targeted and efficient immunization services.
Stock and Supply Management
- Monitor vaccine stock levels, distribution, and storage to maintain uninterrupted immunization services.
- Ensure effective cold chain management to preserve vaccine quality.
Training and Technical Support
- Identify the training needs of vaccination staff and organize regular refresher training sessions in collaboration with district EPI teams.
- Provide ongoing technical supervision and support to maintain high service standards.
Collaboration and Coordination
- Work closely with district-level health authorities, project teams, and EPI staff to ensure seamless execution of immunization programs.
- Maintain communication with stakeholders to address challenges and achieve program goals.
