Job Description: The Senior Finance Officer will be responsible for supporting financial operations within the framework of approved policies of AKES,P Schools in the GB Region.
This role primarily includes the following functions:
- Consolidation and supervision of fee collection statements received from RSDUs/Schools and their submission within the stipulated deadline.
- Confirmation of fee transfers from respective banks on a fortnightly basis and notifying the respective Office.
- Maintenance and updating of school-wise defaulters' lists of students.
- Following up with the heads of units/schools on fee-related matters.
- Verification of fixed assets at year-end.
- Ensuring proper and timely filing of all Accounts and fee-related documents of all units, maintaining backup of FCS GL for easy accessibility, durability, and future reference (Vouchers and other reports monthly, binding of ledgers on an annual basis).
- Reporting month-end Fee collection of AKS & Hostels to the Education Office.
- Fulfilment of any other duty assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications and Skills Required:
The ideal candidate must have a master’s in commerce/MBA (Finance), CA (part-qualified), ACCA (Finalist), or ICMA (part-qualified) and a minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar capacity at an institution of good repute. The individual should possess sound knowledge of financial management, organizational skills, effective communication, proficiency in English, and strong interpersonal skills.
