Subject: CSS COMPETITIVE EXAMINATION 2023 - NUMBER OF VACANCIES ALLOCATED TO VARIOUS OCCUPATIONAL GROUPS/SERVICES

In pursuance of Establishment Division's Letter No. 1/12/2023-T-V, dated 08.04.2024, read with Rule 19 of the CSS Competitive Examination Rules, 2019 as amended from time to time, the number of vacancies, including carried over vacancies, to be filled on the basis of the final result of CSS Competitive Examination-2023 are hereby announced in accordance with the policy of the Federal Government on Merit/Provincial/Regional/Women and Minorities quotas. Details are as following:-

• Punjab (50%)
• Sindh (Rural) (11.4%)
• Sindh (Urban)(7. 6)
• K.P.K (11.5%)
• Balochistan (6%)
• AJK (2%)
• EX-FATA (3)
• Gilgit Baltistan (1%)

Total Vacancies for Open Merit quota: 265 Total Vacancies for Women quota: 71 Total Vacancies for Minorities quota: 122 Total Vacancies of All Quotas: 458

Distribution of vacancies amongst the respective Occupational Groups/ Services has been made after adding fresh vacancies and carried over vacancies from the preceding years in accordance with Provincial/ Regional, Women and Minorities quotas, as stipulated vide Establishment Division's O.M. No.4/10/2006-R-2, dated 12.02.2007, O.M. No. 4/15/2006-R-2, dated 22.05.2007, O.M. No. 4/15/94-R-2, dated 26.05.2009, clarification issued vide Establishment Division's O.M. No. 4/10/2006-R-2, dated 18.03.2020 and notification bearing SRO No.747(1)/2020, dated 19.08.2020.

Allocation of candidates to the Occupational Groups/ Services will be made keeping in view their merit position, suitability determined by the Commission, preferences of the candidates and their domiciles.
