Project Details:
The Gilgit-Baltistan Secretariat Works Department is currently undertaking three important projects aimed at improving connectivity and infrastructure in the region. The details of the projects are as follows:
Inter-Provincial Connectivity Economic Corridor Through GB and AJK (Thalichi GB-Shounter AJK) (IPCEC): This project focuses on enhancing economic connectivity between Gilgit-Baltistan and Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) through the construction of the Thalichi GB-Shounter AJK Economic Corridor. The project aims to improve road infrastructure and connectivity to facilitate trade and economic activities between the two regions.
Construction of Darel & Tangir Expressway: The Darel & Tangir Expressway project aims to construct an expressway connecting the Darel and Tangir valleys in Gilgit-Baltistan. The expressway will improve transportation infrastructure in the region, providing residents with better access to essential services and opportunities for economic growth and development.
Inter-Regional Connectivity Baltistan Division & Diamer-Astore Division: This project focuses on improving connectivity between the Baltistan Division and the Diamer-Astore Division within Gilgit-Baltistan. Responsibilities of the Project Director:
