Selection Programme/Procedure

i. Enter Test date will be intimated by respective PNR & SC through SMS after improvement in the COVID-19 pandemic situation.

ii. Entrance Test will be conducted in the following subjects

• Intelligence Test
• Academic Test

iii. The application form will be issued to those candidates who qualify the entrance test, preliminary medical and interview conducted at respective PNR & SC.

iv. The candidate applying for Operations Branch has to undergo Physical Efficiency Test (PET) as per the following criteria.

For Marines

• Running: One Mile (1.6 km) in 8:30 minutes
• Push-ups: 10 repetitions in 2 minutes
• Sit-ups: 10 repetitions in 2 minutes
• Chin-ups: 2 repetitions in 2 minutes

For SSG (N)

• Running: One Mile (1.6 km) in 8:30 minutes
• Push-ups: 22 repetitions in 2 minutes
• Sit-ups: 22 repetitions in 2 minutes
• Chin-ups: 6 repetitions in 2 minutes
• Squat Thurst: 22 repetitions in 2 minutes

v. Medical examination of ISSB/Personality recommended candidates at the nearest CMH/Naval Hospital.

vi. Tests/Interview at ISSB except for Medical Branch candidates.

vii. Personality test at PNR & SC for Medical Branch candidates only.

viii. Interview by PN Selection Board.

ix. Final Selection by Naval Headquarters on Merit.

Note

The candidates are advised to get their ear/teeth cleaned from the specialist doctor prior to reporting for Medical examination.
