Diverse Culture in Pakistan

Today, I had
short and wonderful trip to LokVirsa Islamabad under the supervision of the
Pakistan Studies Department(NUML). Pakistan has a unique, rich and distinctive
culture. Nevertheless, diversity is found all over Pakistan because diversified
provinces have their own customs, traditions, rules and lifestyles. However,
every region of Pakistan has always loving and respecting each other culture.
When we
entered LokVirsa with the prominent Faculty members and students, we heard
melodious voices of the renowned singers, singing in their own languages. It
seemed as if the songs of various languages had mesmerized the entire audience.
We were
welcomed in a unique traditional way, which reflected the perfect decorum and
zeal and zest. There were also many stalls around us. Obviously, the atmosphere
was just amazing because it presented the culture of Pakistan In one event.
Stall
holders were representing their culture and language. Every stall holder and
singer was busy with tooth and nail. Many were advertising, decorating and
exploring their traditional assets and some eminent singers were singing and
dancing in their traditional ways.
In addition,
there were different stalls and all the stalls had separate management systems.
They had their own traditional food, antiques, traditional clothing.
Interestingly,
the students were divided into different groups and each group was consisted of
a Punjabi, Sindhi, Pathan, Baloch, Kashmiri and GilgitBaltistan students.
Through groups, every student was interpreting his/her traditional and cultural
heritage and was informing the visitors about their distinctive culture. It was a glorious day lasted only for three hours.
We had an adventurous exposure and received wonderful information about
different cultures.
In fact, we
are so fortunate to live in one country with harmony and peace, despite the
distance of geographical location various cultures and different regular
languages. Fortunately, we are habitants of this land and we should always
enjoy and celebrate our diversity and peaceful atmosphere. We have been blessed
by God with myriad blessings like scenic natural beauty, forest, beautiful
rivers, glaciers, healthy weather terrifying High Mountain. Hence, it is our
perennial duty as a citizen, to preserve the natural beauty of this country
along with its diverse cultures.
