YOU STOLEN OUR DREAMS

It would be fortunate or unfortunate, that mostly the Wakhi Tajik people are living in the remotest and mountainous areas of Afghanistan, China, Tajikistan and Pakistan. In Pakistan the Wakhi People are living in three regions with different important borders. Gojal Hunza which connects Pakistan, China and Afghanistan. Another side is Ashkoman Ghizar hoping in the coming days Tajikistan will connect through this border, and the last and extremely neglected area is Broghil which is located in the Chitral district of KPK. Every year a number of domestic and international foreigners visit this God gifted area. So its clear crystal that these areas having a novel importance economically as well as geographically. We can’t deny that the people who are living near the borders have always a vital role in development. But it's shocked! when the people are continuously ignored, their basic fundamental rights are not given by the state. Living in Broghil is like living in the stone age, forget of having a proper educational system, basic health care, road, electricity and communication. During winter season this area receives 5” to 6 “feet snow. People are totally isolated for 5 to 6 months and eye witnessed that there is no more wood and coal for heating purpose and just imagine the temperature from October to March, cooking, heating fuel, gases and other facilities are just their dream. Life is totally stuck. I am speechless. Salute! Tough people and tough life, still you say we‘re part of this state. In 2011 Central Asia Institute Gilgit( CAIG) committed to serve these real deserving people when no one reached to these people even Government and other NGOs. So during those days CAIG started to work on education, health and on vocational centers. Initially 08 Primary schools ,01 High School and 01 college were established in the valley. Above 530 students were engaged and more then 40 teachers were appointed. CAIG also provided fully funded scholarships on need and merit based. Probably their top priority was education and that was solved and gradually CAIG also initiated to work on the other sectors but unfortunately government agencies in return gave them a reward by freezing their accounts. In fact the students were disturbed and more then 40 teachers were unemployed. Doesn’t matters because there might be some legal aspects however state itself is a strong human organization you have to run the educational institutes because this specific area has already being neglected in the past and here state completely failed to establish a single primary school. It could be right that state has stolen their dreams. If not then it, means the state puts the innocent citizens aside and gets into different controversy specially with educational organizations. At last but not at least, now it’s time to those criticizers not only so called experts on TV channels at 9 PM who monkey around but every individual should explore the real issues of this remotest valley.
