Gilgit-Baltistan is a disaster prone region and we cannot stop natural disasters but we can arm ourselves with enough knowledge for disaster preparedness.

A big milestone achieved by son-of Soil Engr. Shareef Hussain,​ hailing from Budalas Nagar, Selected as a "Young Scientist" among world's 43 others, by Internationally acclaimed research Institute on disaster "IRDR" Integrated Research on Disaster Risk.
In education Shareef Hussain completed his M-Phil and Masters from NUST and UET Lahore and worked with International development organizations. Currently He is working as Deputy Director, Fort Manharo Development Authority, Government of Punjab.
