Eligibility:

A: Faculty Positions:

  • Lecturer:

    • Minimum Qualification: First Class MS/M.Phil OR equivalent degree awarded after 18 Years of education in the relevant field from an HEC recognized University/Institution with no 3rd division in the academic career.
    • Experience: Nil
    • Minimum Number of Publications: Nil
  • Assistant Professor:

    • Qualification: PhD in relevant field from HEC recognized University/Institution.
  • Associate Professor:

    • Minimum Qualification: Ph.D. in the relevant field from an HEC recognized University/Institution.
    • Experience: 10-years teaching/research experience in an HEC recognized University or a postgraduate Institution or professional experience in the relevant field in a National or International organization.
    • Minimum Number of Publications: The applicant must have 10 research publications (with at least 4 publications in the last 5 years in the HEC recognized Journals).
  • Professor:

    • Minimum Qualification: Ph.D. from an HEC recognized Institution in the relevant field.
    • Experience: 15-years teaching/research experience in HEC recognized University or a post-graduate Institution or professional experience in the relevant field in a National or International organization.
    • Minimum Number of Publications: The applicant must have 15 research publications with at least 5 publications in the last 5 years in HEC recognized journals.

B: Administrative Positions:

  1. Campus Director BPS-21 or equivalent OR Campus Director BPS-20 or equivalent (Contractual position for a period of 3 years)

    • For BPS-21:
      • Ph.D. in any discipline with 15 years administrative, academic, Finance experience (with administrative Knowledge of the relevant field) in any university or HEI in BPS-17 and above.
      • MS/M.Phil in any discipline with 18 years administrative, academic, and Finance experience (with administrative Knowledge of the relevant field) in any university or HEI in BPS-17 and above.
      • Masters in any discipline with 20 years administrative, academic, and Finance experience (with administrative Knowledge of the relevant field) in any university or HEI in BPS-17 and above.
    • For BPS-20:
      • Ph.D. in any discipline with 10 years administrative, academic, and Finance experience (with administrative Knowledge of the relevant field) in any university or HEI equivalent to BPS-17 and above.
      • MS/M.Phil in any discipline with 13 years administrative, academic, and Finance experience (with administrative Knowledge of the relevant field) in any university or HEI equivalent to BPS-17 and above.
      • 1st class Masters in any discipline with 15 years administrative, academic, and Finance experience (with administrative Knowledge of the relevant field) in any university or HEI equivalent to BPS-17 and above.

    In addition, the ideal candidate for BPS-21/20 must possess sound knowledge of rules, regulations, and statutes regarding university administration process, academic process, finance, examinations, and other related matters. Should have sound knowledge of computers and possess a demonstrable ability to work as a team leader.

  2. Assistant Director Finance BPS-17

    • 2nd Class Master’s Degree in MBA(Finance)/ BBA (Hons with specialization in finance)/M. Com/CA(Inter)/ICMA(Inter) or equivalent with 3 years’ relevant experience in finance in Government /university/HEI in BPS-16 or equivalent and 2 years for CA/ICMA inter. Must possess good computing skills and possess demonstrated ability to work.
  3. Assistant Director Admin BPS-17

    • 2nd Class Master’s Degree equal to 16 years of education or equivalent with 3 years’ relevant experience in administration in Government /university/HEI in BPS-16 or equivalent. Must possess good computing skills and possess demonstrated ability to work.
  4. Assistant Director Examinations/QEC BPS-17

    • 2nd Class Master’s Degree equal to 16 years of education or equivalent with 3 years’ relevant experience of Examinations and QEC matters in Government /university/HEI in BPS-16 or equivalent. Must possess good computing skills and possess demonstrated ability to work.
  5. Assistant System/Network Engineer BPS-16

    • 2nd Class Masters in Computer Sciences, MIT, BCS(Hons), or BIT (Hons) equal to 16 years of education in Computer Sciences.
    • 3 years’ experience in computer advances, including experience in system administration (i.e., domain controller, exchange server, internet server, additional domain controller) data base analysis, networking, monitoring software, and software development having a good speed in data feeding of all MS Office packages like word, spreadsheet, MS access, PowerPoint, etc. in any government institution/organization/HEI/University.
    • Candidates with CCNA Certification will be preferred.
  6. Office Assistant BPS-15

    • 2nd Class Bachelor’s Degree equal to 14 years of education or equivalent with 3 years’ relevant experience of official matters in Government /university/HEI in BPS-11 or equivalent.
    • Preference will be given to UDCs/Secretaries equal to BPS-11 working in any government institution of university or HEI.
    • Must possess good computing skills and should have sound knowledge in MS OFFICE PACKAGE and possess demonstrated ability to work.
  7. Office Secretary BPS-11

    • 2nd Class Bachelor’s Degree equal to 14 years of education or equivalent with 3 years’ relevant experience of official matters in Government /university/HEI in BPS-9 or equivalent.
    • Preference will be given to LDCs/Secretaries equal to BPS-9 working in any government institution of university or HEI.
    • Must possess good computing skills and should have sound knowledge in MS OFFICE PACKAGE and preferably shorthand with a speed of 150 wpm and possess demonstrated ability to work and possess good communications/official drafting skills in English.
  8. IT Technician BPS-11

    • 2nd Class Bachelor’s Degree in Computer equal to 14 years of qualifications OR 3 years’ diploma in IT from a Government recognized institution.
    • MCSE certification will be preferred.
    • Preferably 1-2 years’ experience in Government institutions/well-known computer labs/software development houses in networking, troubleshooting, computer, and related referrals maintenance and LAN.
  9. Upper Division Clerks BPS-11

    • 2nd Class Bachelor’s Degree equal to 14 years of education or equivalent with 3 years’ relevant experience of official matters in Government /university/HEI in BPS-9 or equivalent.
    • Preference will be given to LDCs/Secretaries equal to BPS-9 working in any government institution of university or HEI.
    • Must possess good computing skills and should have sound knowledge in MS OFFICE PACKAGE with typing speed 50 wpm and possess demonstrated ability to work.
  10. Technician Electrical/Mechanical BPS-11

    • 3 years diploma in electrical/mechanical with 1-2 years’ experience in maintenance of electrical installations, repairs, and maintenance of electrical items, electrical office and home connections, equipment’s installed in the campus including generators, etc.
  11. Technician Electronics BPS-11

    • 3 years’ diploma electronics with 1-2 years’ experience in repair and maintenance of electronic equipment’s including computers etc.
    • Should also have experience in the operation of CCTV systems.
  12. Technician Civil BPS-11

    • 3 years diploma in civil with 1-2 years’ experience in repair/maintenance of buildings, designs, and surveys, etc.
  13. General Lab Technician BPS-11

    • 2nd class bachelor’s degree in science equal to 14 years of education having 1-2 years’ experience in educational lab works.
  14. Lab Assistants BPS-11

    • 2nd class bachelor’s degree in science equal to 14 years of education having 1-2 years’ experience in educational lab works.
  15. Drivers BPS-5

    • Matriculation examinations (10) years of qualification (literate) with a valid driving license HTV preferred.
    • The ideal candidate should be in sound health, good physique, and well-versed with traffic rules/regulations.
  16. Dispatch Riders BPS-5

    • Matriculation examinations (10) years of qualification (literate) with a valid driving license HTV preferred.
    • The ideal candidate should be in sound health, good physique, and well-versed with traffic rules/regulations.
  17. Security Guards BPS-1

    • Middle standard (8) years of qualification (literate).
    • Retired Armed/Civil forces will be preferred.
    • The ideal candidate should be in sound health, good physique, and well-versed with security matters.
  18. Mali/Naib Qasid BPS-1

    • Middle standard (8) years of qualification (literate).
    • The ideal candidate should be in sound health and good physique.
  19. Cook BPS-1

    • Middle (8) years of qualification (literate) with 2 years’ experience in cooking.

Conditions:

  • Complete Applications on the prescribed form along with attested copies of Educational Certificates/Degrees (with attestation/equivalence from HEC), NIC, Domicile Certificate, Character Certificate, Recent Passport size photograph, and Experience Certificates should reach the office of HR Manager, Karakoram International University, Gilgit, on or before March 8, 2018.
  • Applications must be accompanied by a pay order/demand draft (non-refundable) of Rs.1000/- drawn in favor of the Registrar, Karakoram International University.
  • Persons serving in the Government Sector may apply as fresh applicants through proper channels.

  • Age relaxations in case of Management and Technical staff will be as per approved rules of the Federal Government No. 9/2/91-R-5 Islamabad, the 24th June 2010, and that for the Faculty Positions will be applicable as approved by HEC.
  • No TADA will be paid for the interview.
  • TTS Faculty cannot apply for any Administrative or faculty positions. Candidates having a Ph.D. qualification will give an undertaking that “They have no job in any university/HEI in any TTS position.”
