Call for applications for Young Connectors of the Future (YCF) 2018

On 8 January the Swedish Institute (SI) opened the call for applications for Young Connectors of the Future (YCF) with the aim to find 30 young change makers from South Asia for the 2018 round of the program.
This is the sixth time SI is arranging the YCF programme. New for this year is that SI has decided to include Nepal to the list of programme countries, meaning that we are reaching out to potential participants in six countries: Afghanistan, Bangladesh, India, Nepal, Pakistan and Sri Lanka.The call for applications is open until 6 February 2018.

You can apply to YCF if you:
• Are a citizen of Afghanistan, Bangladesh, India, Nepal, Pakistan or Sri Lanka
• Are between 22 and 32 years old (born 1985 – 1996).
• Have a leading position in your work for social change (for example in your work as a civil servant, a youth politician, a legal worker, a journalist, a social worker, a social entrepreneur or a cultural worker).
• Work in a collaborative setting, where you have a leadership role (formal or informal).
• Are working actively for democracy, sustainability, diversity and/or human rights.
• Have a good working knowledge of both written and spoken English.
• Can take part in all parts of the program.
• Are prepared to forward competences and knowledge you gain from the program.
